EU projects underway
A funding agreement was signed on 09.07.2024. We are launching the project.
FORMANO MATEUSZ BIEGAJŁO received a grant from the European Union for a project entitled: “Company transformation leading to an improved production process related to the optimal cutting of polystyrene components.” Project co-financed by the European Union from the European Funds for Eastern Poland Programme 2021-2027
The main objective of implementing automation processes is to increase production efficiency and the resulting reduction in environmental impact by reducing material consumption due to the ability to optimise orders in individual blocks of plastic.
Tasks carried out as part of the project:
- Costs associated with conducting a technology audit/digital maturity diagnosis and developing a roadmap – description of planned work: The work included conducting a technology audit, along with a digital maturity assessment, and developing a roadmap for transformation towards Industry 4.0
- Purchase of fixed assets – description of planned works: The purchase of infrastructure, i.e. servers, computer network with equipment to ensure system reliability. Purchase of industrial barcode/QR code printers and code readers and monitor for order monitoring. Printer ribbon machine.
- Purchase of intangible assets – description of planned work: Purchase of dedicated software for order optimisation and production execution, together with documentation on the submitted code for its ICT security verification.
- Purchase of consultancy services – description of planned work: Costs related to the purchase of consultancy services related to the security audit of the ICT infrastructure established.
- Purchase of training services – description of planned work: Costs of training services on the operation of the resulting system for staff – 5 people
The expected effect includes improved efficiency and thus: reduced production costs; reduced consumption of raw materials, energy and other resources; and reduced waste and emissions. The introduction of new ICT tools, especially in the context of automating sales and production processes, as well as administrative management and production planning, is a key step towards increasing a company’s efficiency and competitiveness. In addition, the project will result in reduced water consumption, reduced energy intensity, reduced emissions of pollutants. By planning and monitoring production processes more accurately and reducing the need for physical transport of documents (through electronic transfer of orders), there will be a reduction in the waste of energy and raw materials (reduction of waste). The use of the system and modern, energy-efficient equipment will significantly reduce energy consumption. In addition, the accurate tracking of assets via QR codes enables better management and reuse of assets, which promotes the concept of closed loop.
Costs and Benefits: The implementation of automation processes will require an initial investment in the purchase of machinery and technology and staff training.
The benefits include:
- Increased production efficiency, leading to greater productivity and lower operating costs
- Reduction in the consumption of raw materials, energy and other utilities, which contributes to a reduction in operating costs
- Minimising waste and emissions, which benefits the company’s reputation and can generate environmental savings
Target group: Companies involved in the distribution of products for the construction industry at the retail customer level, both in Poland and abroad, such as sellers of products for the construction industry, in particular window and door manufacturers, the company Formano Mateusz Biegajło, recipients of profiles or polystyrene plugs.
